Each year Alessandro politely states that this is the last time he’s going to offer the special limited production versions of “Alessandro M.”  All limited edition corkscrews are real characters in the Alessi' dream factory and still have all the functional qualities of Corkscrews. This is Mendini’s umpteenth provocation of the “Form follows function” theory with object-creations that progressively move towards the expressivity of “Figures”.  They are so much fun that it’s likely that the series will continue for some time…Limited edition pieces that are hand decorated, highly collectable and make wonderful gifts.  The design for these products is changed on a yearly basis making them quite unique and desirable.   The small smiling face has became in the years an icon, and has generated a big number of object for the kitchen and the table.
