Alessi Fiamma Recipe Bookstand
Do you find that when you're cooking from one of your recipe books that as you're reading your neck begins to ache and often hurts for a length of time even after you have finished reading??This is because if you place a book on a flat surface to read or you hold the book in your hands and look down at the book you have to hold your head in a very un-natural position causing the muscles on your neck to stretch. Placing a book at the right height, higher than the table top and at the right angle means you can hold your head in a natural position and read without tiring your neck by bending downwards unnaturally.
Designed by Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi the bookstand appears to have flames of steel darting all around from the book support: the perfect atmosphere for cooking while consulting a recipe book. The bookstand closes with a lovely pantograph movement, allowing it to be stored in a limited space beside your cook books or on a shelf.
